Dungeonbowl – Need I Say More?

Okay, if the title didn’t get you at least curious, there may be something wrong with you. Imagine American Hand-egg (I think they call it football…logic evades me as to why), played in a Dungeon Keeper like environment, where the players are Dwarves and Elves and all that shizz. Now add to that the fact that the ball is hidden somewhere in the dungeon – no coin-toss here – first team to find it get possession and then the real fun begins as the ultimate goal of a touchdown for one team or another looms.

Based around the original Blood Bowl concept (I had that as a tabletop boardgame many years ago), Cyanide Studios and Games Workshop have combined to bring you what I’m sure is a fairly unique multiplayer only “E-sport”. And at a price of $14.99, about a tenner in real British Pounds, this could well be something worth adding to your collection.

Here’s the link to Cyanide’s shop site, where you can check out a very short trailer and some screenies etc., and here’s the official Dungeonbowl site where you can check out the game in detail, including the ladder system and dungeon editor.

About The Author

One random Old Git Gamer, it all started with PONG, then the arcades with Space Invaders and Asteriods, followed by games on the Vic20, ZX81, Sinclair Spectrum, the Atari ST and Amiga, until finally PC's and the Tinternet were invented. You may think you know about games, but me I was around before they were even INVENTED!!!!

Definitely worth a look – I played the tabletop version too (and 40k, and necromunda and…I kept GW in business!). I remember the PC version of BloodBowl being the most unfair thing ever, so this can only be an improvement!!
