I believe I speak on behalf of everyone when I utter the following words: “Forsooth, ’twas a dire moment!”
Irrational Games have moved the release date of Bioshock Infinte from October 16 to February 2013. The reason behind this postponing, according to Irrational Games big chief Kevin Lavine, is:
Since then, we’ve come to realize that some specific tweaks and improvements will make Infinite into something even more extraordinary. Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need, we’ve decided to move the game’s release to February 26, 2013. We wanted to let our loyal (and very patient!) fans know this as soon as possible.
The game will not be appearing at the upcoming E3 next month, nor will it at Gamescom in Germany, which is due in August. So, what this means in the end is even more patience for us hungering gamers, but also a more polished Bioshock. While a small part of me is having a minor temper tantrum at the delay, I can settle with a bit more wait time. In the end the Bioshock games are already stellar so it cannot go wrong. It mustn’t.
