Well I have to say that the only thing looking really hot this August is the weather (Betty Swollocks is the order of the day over in the land of roast beef and Yorkshire puds), however there are a couple of notable exceptions:
14th of August sees Square Enix’s Sleeping Dogs coming to PC, along with Eggsbox 360 and PS3.
It’s set in an open world style Hong Kong, filled with triads and crims to splat. Should be good.
24th of August sees Namco Bandai finally bringing Dark Souls (Prepare to Die Edition), to the PC.
An RPG set in a dark fantasy world, Asian style, with PvP and all that good stuff. I really hope they don’t screw up the port though!
28th of August sees the BIG one: ArenaNet’s Guild Wars 2
Not much to add about this one; listen to what Sty and Kiri have to say about it – they pretty much cover it all.
As ever, if I’ve missed something, let us know in the comments or join the forum and pester me there. Also, indie wise, I have no idea what’s coming. That’s the bosses’ department you see, and Messrs Stylosa and Kirioth apparently have shady contacts that they don’t tell me about
Post Script: 21st of August, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron out on those things that don’t have keyboards, mice, graphics cards or upgradeablilty.
