According to the co-founder of Valve, Gabe Newell, the upcoming MOBA game they are producing, DOTA 2 will be F2P but with a twist of some sort. Hmm, so what could that exactly mean; with a twist? Well, Newell is questioned about this obscure statement during a podcast over at Seven Day Cooldown to which the basic answer was referring to Team Fortress 2, the community and how to value contributors (I suggest you listen to the first 5-10 minutes)
It’s going to be f2p, that’s the easiest way to think of it - it’ll have some twists, but that’s the easiest way for people to think about it.
It seems highly possible that this f2p build will incorporate similarities with TF2…yes, that means HATS. What better way to customise your champion than to fit him/her with a top hat, wizards cap, or rubber glove. There is the possibility of other items such as weapons to be added; one would hope only for aesthetical purposes! With all that in mind, there could still be the arrival of full, whacked on skins. Good lord, the dollar to be made.

Happily this will pass me by, LoL is enough Moba for me and Hats FU

Superb data miner for things like these “twists”. They’ve already made some new hero outfits and courier models!
My ears are still ringing from the last bout of rage I suffered when I played LoL (admittedly badly, it was my first proper go at it)…too much anger in the communities, so I’ll be avoiding this one too…

But yeah, the community can be really mean if you don’t do 100 percent. Usually this can be circumvented by playing with friends only, but even then there might be some rage going on
AWWWWWWWWWWWW YEAAAAAAHHHHHHH.
