Over the weekend two of Unit Lost favourite hang outs were broken into, both League of Legends and DayZ got hacked.
In the case of LoL, Riot Games have notified all EU West and EU Nordic & East League of Legends players warning them that their account details may have been compromised by hackers. Some players’ email addresses, encrypted account passwords, and dates of birth have been leaked. As a precaution, Riot recommend you change your account password. Riot have stated that they have fixed the issue and are beefing up security.
DayZ is a little more concerning as it involves a botnet security breach and an .exe file. Head over to Eurogamer for more details as they have for more links on info about what’s exactly happened.
It’s not been a very good weekend all round for major gaming sites, Diablo 3 servers in the US had a major lag spike, which resulted in some huge forums threads on sites like Reddit as many a hardcore character bit the dust, always online DRM FTL. Also Arenanet’s GW2 beta weekend was plagued with a lot of WvW login issues, but we can forgive them that as beta is beta after all.
On the bright side Sty/Kiri and the Unit Lost Crew got alot of playtime in the GW2 Beta and have some really interesting videos for your enjoyment over at Unitlosttube
